Kiaha's Dance Journey
Kiaha has been surrounded by dance her whole life. With a mom who owned a studio, she grew up in the dance world, started belly dance classes at age 2, and moved into competitive dance at age 4. She competed for 14 years, including 7 years with Just Dance, and trained in a wide range of styles.

Her Inspirations
Kiaha has always been inspired by teachers who are able to put their own struggles aside and show up fully for their students. She admires the way they stay positive, encouraging, and present, even on hard days and competition days. Their example taught her how important it is to be there for dancers with kindness, strength, and dedication.

Her Education
Kiaha recently completed her Acrobatic Arts Module 1 Certification course and placed 9th overall in the Senior Solo Division at Summit Nationals. She was also co-captain of her school dance team during the 25/26 season and was part of the team for 3 years. In addition, she has received awards for her choreography and has been teaching and assisting in the studio for several years.

Her Teaching Style
Kiaha is in her third year of teaching and is beginning her first season as a full educator after previously working as a junior educator. She has also taught and run summer and PA Day camps for the past 4 years. Kiaha creates a welcoming and happy classroom where dancers feel supported, encouraged, and excited to learn.

What She Expects
Kiaha expects dancers to come to class in uniform, with their hair up, ready to work, listen, and have a positive attitude. She believes in clear communication, respectful correction, and keeping dancers safe while still being direct. Her approach is based on the idea that kids come to dance to dance.

Why She Loves Teaching
Kiaha loves teaching because she gets to share something she has always loved with the next generation of dancers. One of the best parts of teaching for her is watching students succeed after working hard for a skill and seeing the joy on their faces when they finally get it. She especially enjoys being part of the culture, energy, and happiness that dance brings into a child's life.

Kiaha's Message
Dance has always been a big part of Kiaha's life, and she feels lucky to now be in a role where she can inspire others the way her teachers inspired her. She hopes to create a positive space where dancers can grow, learn, and feel proud of their progress. Her goal is for every student to leave class feeling challenged, supported, and excited to dance.
